Overview
What Jotamastic 90 is for
Jotamastic 90 is a two-component, polyamine-cured epoxy mastic. It is surface tolerant, abrasion resistant and high build, intended mainly for maintenance where optimum surface preparation isn't practical. It can serve as primer, midcoat, finish or single-coat system, and it is MCI-tintable.
It comes in Standard and Wintergrade (faster, lower-temperature curing) and in named versions such as Jotamastic 90 Aluminium and Jotamastic 90 GF.
Typical applications
- Atmospheric and immersed service on prepared carbon steel, galvanised steel, stainless steel, aluminium, concrete and aged coatings
- Splash zones, refineries, power plants, bridges, buildings and mining equipment
- Primer, midcoat, finish or single-coat maintenance systems

Wintergrade
Faster cure (3 days at 23 °C) and 120 °C continuous dry heat. Yellows faster than Standard if left without a topcoat.

Limitations to check
- Jotun's immersion figures (for example seawater 50 °C continuous) depend on the system and exposure. They are not blanket chemical-resistance ratings.
- Wintergrade yellows faster than Standard when exposed without a topcoat.
- Not a potable-water lining.
