What Pilot II & Pilot QD Primer is for
Jotun's Pilot range is a family of one-component, oxidatively drying alkyds for straightforward atmospheric maintenance. Pilot II is a glossy topcoat. Pilot QD Primer is a fast-drying, high-build anticorrosive primer or intermediate, pigmented with zinc phosphate.
Jotun also lists Pilot ACR and Pilot WF as separately named products. Ask us if your specification names one of those.

Fast-drying zinc-phosphate alkyd primer or intermediate. Not a topcoat. DFT 40–125 µm. Touch dry 15 min, minimum recoat 1.5 h at 23 °C.

- Atmospheric service only. Alkyds are not for immersion or chemical exposure.
- Pilot QD Primer is a primer or intermediate and needs a topcoat.
- Peak heat is limited to one hour (120 °C continuous / 140 °C peak).
